Richard W. Knapp

NORWICH - Spring funeral services for Richard W. Knapp, 92, who passed away on December 1, 2006 will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at the Earlville Baptist Church, West Main Street, Earlville. Interment will follow in Poolville Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Paul Funeral Home of Madison.

Sherwood L. (Sherry) Hamilton

HAMILTON - The burial of Sherwood L. (Sherry) Hamilton will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2007 at the Stockbridge Cemetery. Mr. Hamilton passed away in October 2006.

Reception to follow at the Langman residence, 2529 Lake Moraine Road, Hamilton.

Clarence Albert Raffauf

NORTH BROOKFIELD - Clarence Albert Raffauf, 83, of Swamp Rd., passed away Saturday, June 9, 2007 at the Harding Nursing Home, Waterville, NY.

He was born July 25, 1923 in Stockwell, NY, a son of Albert and Ruth Clark Raffauf. His family moved to North Brookfield in 1927, and he received his education in Waterville Central School. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps. where he served in the 6th Marine Division from November 1942 until November 1945, and fought in the battles for Bougainville and Okinawa. On October 5, 1946, Clarence was married to Trudy Henderson in Earlville. She predeceased him on December 12, 1997. A life-long North Brookfield resident, Clarence worked with his father in the family business, Raffauf and Son Grocery Store. He also worked for the American Management Association in Hamilton for ten years until his retirement in 1985.

Mr. Raffauf was a member of the East Hamilton United Methodist Church where he was active on several committees and was a member and past chairman of the board. The Raffauf's had wintered in Melbourne Beach, Fla. for many years.

Surviving are two sisters, Dorothy Bacheller of Hamilton and Mary (Parker) Lillie of Cincinnati, Ohio; a brother-in-law, Charles (Kate) Henderson of Sugarland, Texas; a niece, Sharon Partridge; seven nephews, Parker J. and Brett Lillie, John, Michael, Mark and Gerry Scanlon, and Jeff Henderson; and several grandnieces and nephews. Also surviving are his special friends Ed and Pat Whitehead and Madeline Kelly. He was predeceased by a sister, Alice Scanlon in 2003.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 27, 2007 from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 25 Broad St., Hamilton, followed by interment in Crown Hill Memorial Park, Clinton, NY.

Friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26th,
